Progressivism is a destructive ideology, particularly amongst Generations X, Y, and Z.
The word sounds ameliorative (progress is good), but progressives know all too well that the progress they envision, the social change they demand, requires the dissolution of old habits and takedown of idols and a break in the chain of tradition. The old must be discredited and removed before the new can take its place. And—this is important—the figures who sustain the tradition are just as obstructive as the tradition itself.
Progressivism is inevitably a conflictual outlook; there’s always so much more to do! And there are always people standing in the way.
It isn’t easy for conservatives to recognize that they’re in the battle, the culture wars, whether they like it or not. Ideological warfare isn’t their game. They’re not good at it; they don’t like it. They’d rather explain the First Amendment than bash the people who are out to undermine it. But the war is on. What has happened in academia in the past 50 years should be understood as what may happen to the United States in the next 50 years.
Leftist professors called their conservative colleagues the enemy, even as the ranks of conservatives were thinning, while conservatives fought back by professing the value of conservatism—that is, by not fighting at all. Is that going to be the pattern for the rest of American society?
By now, all conservative academics and intellectuals should realize that the best materials of the past won’t save them. A rousing insistence on intellectual diversity and a marketplace of ideas will fall flat if not accompanied by a campaign to overcome the ones who conspire to shut it down. It’s not enough to argue your own case, not anymore.
Conservatives must look across the table and see their adversaries as the real issue, not ideas, values, and traditions alone. The primary question isn’t which ideology is correct and just. It’s about who’s going to rule.
How Can We Unite and Fight the ‘Progressive’ Takeover of America?
If you’re not sure where you stand on today’s divisive Progressivism issue, below are three questions to help sapient beings decide:
Do you love America and what it stands for?
Are you ready to fight neo-Marxist ideologies to help protect America’s 74 million students from Progressivism madness?
Can you see yourself supporting the S.A.P.I.E.N.T. Being’s mission and vision to fight and reverse the Progressivism madness destroying America?
If your answer is yes, please support the champion of anti-Progressivism, the S.A.P.I.E.N.T. Being, an educational non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization and think tank with a tax-deductible donation. Or, contact CEO Corey Lee Wilson at sapientbeing@att.net or (951) 638-5562 for more info, questions, and ways to help. If you’re still not sure, please read on.
Why Should You Support the S.A.P.I.E.N.T. Being?
The S.A.P.I.E.N.T. Being is a non-profit educational organization whose primary objective is to fight Progressivism throughout America’s academic and educational institutions—by re-enlightening them on the many blessings to humankind that are the direct result of American exceptionalism, Western European culture, and Judeo-Christian values.
We advance these objectives by protecting freedom of speech, enhancing viewpoint diversity. and developing intellectual humility so students, administrators, and professors can fight Progressivism and its inherent illiberalism and see for themselves how the prevailing Marxist, woke, cancel culture is indoctrinating and brainwashing America’s 74 million students.
We offer three programs to accomplish these goals and they are the Sapient Conservative Textbooks (SCT) Program, Make Free Speech Again On Campus (MFSAOC) Program, and the Free Speech Alumni Ambassador (FSAA) Program as follows:
The Sapient Conservative Textbooks (SCT) Program is a current events and social studies textbooks program to counter Progressivism madness, Critical Race Theory (CRT) indoctrination, the 1619 Project curriculum—and return conservative values, viewpoint diversity, and sapience to high school and college campuses while also enlightening them on the many blessings to humankind that are the direct result of American exceptionalism, Western European culture, and Judeo-Christian values.
The Free Speech Alumni Ambassador (FSAA) Program helps create faculty positions at America’s predominantly liberally staffed college campuses, that can serve as much needed conservative club advisors—because conservative students are facing many obstacles when they attempt to start and charter a right-leaning student organization on campus due to faculty members fearful of losing their jobs or tenure for becoming these organization’s advisors.
The Make Free Speech Again On Campus (MFSAOC) Program is an interactive forum and nexus for high school and college students to start S.A.P.I.E.N.T. Being clubs, chapters, and alliances on campus—where conservative, independent, and liberal minded students can meet, discuss, and debate critical issues without cancel culture and free speech suppression by utilizing the sapient principles of intellectual humility, viewpoint diversity, and freedom of expression.
Together, our long-term goal is to create a Society Advancing Personal Enlightenment and Intelligence Now Together (the acronym for the S.A.P.I.E.N.T Being.). Are you a sapient being? If yes, and you can never get enough sapience, please support our cause and programs
If You’re a Progressive Regressive Instead, Think the S.A.P.I.E.N.T. Being is a Right Wing Org, and/or Triggered by Their Message: Read On
Identity politics wise, some people ask: Is the S.A.P.I.E.N.T. Being ideologically right? Right wing? A Republican group? No, no, and no, are the answers! The S.A.P.I.E.N.T. Being is nonpartisan, and their overriding principle is sapience—no matter where that leads them.
Others ask: Is the SAPIENT Being conservative? The answer to this question is the S.A.P.I.E.N.T. Being is a “sapient” conservative organization whose mission and visioin are guided by the principles of freedom of speech, viewpoint diversity, and intellectual humility and its philosophical foundation rests on the bedrock of Judeo-Christian values, Western European culture, and American exceptionalism.
Historically, the above mentioned ideas have been considered “classical liberal” principles—but in a modern perspective in light of the failings of nineteenth century communism, twentieth century socialism, and twenty-first century progressivism—these principles are now considered sapiently conservative.
If someone asks whether the S.A.P.I.E.N.T. Being is both or either sapiently conservative or classically liberal, the appropriate answer is “yes” to each question. Still, others equate conservative values with Republican Party identification with right-wing leanings—and liberal values with Democratic Party identification and left-wing leanings. Are these assumptions true?
No, they're not because conservative and liberal values can—and often times—are separate from political identification. Human beings are complex individuals, so there exist Republicans with liberal values—and Democrats with conservative values—and it’s a serious flaw in logic to assume a rightward or leftward political identity for each based on an incorrect leaning or false label.
Ok! But is the S.A.P.I.E.N.T. Being’s Founder a Right Wing Nut Job? Check His Bio—You be the Judge
The S.A.P.I.E.N.T. Being's founder, author, and CEO, Corey Lee Wilson, was raised an atheist by his liberal Playboy Bunny mother, has three Anglo-Latino siblings, a brother who died of AIDS, a biracial daughter, baptized a Protestant by his conservative grandparents, attended temple with his Jewish foster parents, baptized again as a Catholic for his first Filipina wife, attends Buddhist ceremonies with his second Thai wife, became an agnostic on his own free will for most of his life, and is a lifetime independent voter.
Corey felt the sting of intellectual humility by repeating the 4th grade and attended 18 different K12 schools (17 in California and one in the Bahamas after hitch-hiking across the USA with his mom and brother in 1968) before putting himself through college at Mt. San Antonio College and Cal Poly Pomona University (while on triple secret probation and without white privilege). Named Who's Who of American College Students in 1984, he received a BS in Economics and won his fraternity’s most prestigious undergraduate honor, the Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity's Shideler Award, both in 1985.
As a satirist and fraternity man, Corey started Fratire Publishing in 2012 and transformed the fiction “fratire” genre to a respectable and viewpoint diverse non-fiction genre promoting practical knowledge and wisdom to help everyday people navigate safely through the many hazards of life. In 2019, he founded the SAPIENT Being to help promote freedom of speech, viewpoint diversity, intellectual humility and most importantly advance sapience in America’s students and campuses.
Right wing? Definitely not! Intellectually humble? Hell yes! Sapient? No more so than anyone else on a life-long journey of acquiring sapience (wisdom) and still learning every step of the way.
